New head of finance takes Henmans to the next level

03 April 2008

Henmans is delighted to announce that Matthew Keegan will join the firm as head of finance on 14 April 2008.

Matthew was formerly at Allen & Overy for six years, where he held a number of key financial positions including Group Financial Accountant, Partnership Remuneration Manager and most recently, Financial Controller - Special Projects. These roles have enabled Matthew to develop a deep understanding of the key business drivers in the legal industry and the partnership business model. In addition to his work at Allen & Overy, Matthew has also been a trustee and board member of Mind in Tower Hamlets for the past 18 months. Prior to working for Allen & Overy he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers for four years after qualifying in 1997 as a chartered accountant at Buzzacott Chartered Accountants. He will report to Julia Iball, managing partner, and the Henmans strategy and management board.

Julia Iball, managing partner, commented, “Henmans is the largest firm in Oxford, consistently topping the league tables in several areas of practice. Because of our continued expansion we now consider that we will benefit enormously from input from a finance professional. We are extremely fortunate to have recruited Matthew, who will bring all the benefit of his experience at Allen & Overy.”
