Julia is the firm's managing partner, which is now a full time role. She focusses on the strategic management of the firm and business development. She is particularly interested in the development of the firm's business services group and charities/ third sector practice. Julia works closely with all departments and the firm's professional management team to maintain Henmans's position as Oxford's premier firm.

Julia trained at Henmans and qualified in 1987. She specialised in personal injury and clinical negligence, acting mainly on behalf of insurers. She was made a partner in 1992 and has been managing partner since 2002, although full time only since 2005/2006.

Julia is a member of the Oxford Medico-Legal Society.
